Nissan has recently announced a new lineup of LCV vans, including the new Nissan Townstar. The Townstar will come available in a fully electric powertrain option and is set to replace the favoured Nissan e-NV200 electric van and will support sustainable growth as commercial vehicle market demand accelerates.
The new electric van has been developed to suit the needs of SMEs who are looking for versatility, convenience, space and cargo. It will feature an enhanced 44kWh battery and an estimated range of 170 miles to a single charge, which is a 43% improvement over the outgoing e-NV200.
The game-changing electric van will be Nissan’s most technologically comprehensive LCV offering to date, the Townstar will bring a suite of 20+ technologies to the compact van offering, presenting a bold contender within the segment. With Zero emissions, advanced technology, low running costs and the potential to save £100’s per year on congestion and clean air zones, the all-electric Townstar offers an efficient, sustainable mobility solution.
The fully electric all-new Townstar will reflect aesthetic cues of Ariya, including signature LED headlamps and an aerodynamic front shield integrating an intricate Kumiko pattern. The interior design of the upcoming electric van will feature a passenger car-like comfort with refined seat and door trims to a modern centre console and instrument panel finish.
With 4.3m3 of cargo space, the Townstar electric van will transport two Euro pallets and up to 800kg with ease, as well as allow the vehicle to offer a 1,500kg towing capacity.
