2. Locate the relay center, which is usually near the battery.
3. Find the headlight relay, which is usually marked "HDLP" or "HEAD."
4. The relay is a small, black box with four terminals.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the relay.
6. Remove the relay by gently pulling it out of its socket.
7. Inspect the relay for damage. If the relay is damaged, replace it with a new one.
8. Reinstall the relay by inserting it into its socket.
9. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the relay.
10. Close the hood of your pickup.
