Replace fog light bulb on Pontiac 2001 Grand am?

Tools and Materials:

- Replacement fog light bulb (check owner's manual for specific bulb type)

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Gloves

- Safety glasses

Instructions:

1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.

2. Locate the fog light assembly on your Pontiac Grand Am. The fog light is typically located in the lower part of the front bumper.

3. Open the hood of your vehicle.

4. Locate the fog light bulb socket inside the fog light assembly. This may be located behind a rubber cover or a plastic lens.

5. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws or clips holding the fog light assembly or the bulb socket in place.

6. Carefully remove the fog light assembly or the bulb socket from the bumper.

7. Remove the old fog light bulb by turning it counterclockwise.

- Disconnect the electrical connector if your car has a socket.

- Pull the bulb out.

8. Inspect the socket and wiring for any damage. Replace the socket if necessary.

9. Install the new fog light bulb by turning it clockwise until it is secure.

- Insert the bulb into the socket

- Turn clockwise

- Connect the electrical connector if necessary

10. Reinstall the fog light assembly or bulb socket into the fog light assembly.

- Secure the assembly with screws or clips.

- Snap the socket back if it doesn’t require screws.

11. Replace the rubber cover or plastic lens.

12. Test the fog lights to ensure they are working properly.

13. Close the hood of your car.
