Use your key to unlock the driver's door. Ensure that you insert and remove the key in a fluid motion. When this step is done correctly, the hazard lights will flash one time, and the vehicle's theft light will turn off. If you do not see these signs in response, you may have to use the override switch.
If the first method was unsuccessful, use your key to turn the ignition switch until the accessories come on. Next, press and hold the panic switch that is located on the driver's door for five full seconds.
If you are still unable to turn off the vehicle's alarm, it is recommended to disconnect the battery.
