1. Check your battery connections to ensure they are clean and tight. Loose or corroded connections can prevent the battery from charging properly.
2. If the battery connections are secure, test your battery with a voltmeter or a battery tester to check its voltage. If the battery voltage is below 12.6 volts when the car is off, it may need to be recharged or replaced.
3. If the battery voltage is above 12.6 volts, check the drive belt that powers the alternator. A loose or broken belt can prevent the alternator from generating power to charge the battery.
4. If the drive belt is in good condition, you can take your vehicle to a mechanic to check for other issues in the charging system such as a faulty alternator, voltage regulator or wiring problems.
