1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical shock while you are working on the spark plugs.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Disconnect the coil packs from the spark plugs. There are a couple of screws securing the spark plug wires at the base of the coil. To detach the coil pack from the spark plug remove these retaining screws before carefully prying up at the connector.
4. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plugs.
5. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the new spark plugs. This will help protect the plugs from corrosion.
6. Hand-tighten the new spark plugs into the cylinder head.
IMPORTANT: Do not over-tighten the spark plugs; they may be damaged.
7. Use the spark plug wrench to tighten the spark plugs to the specified torque in an alternating "star" pattern (3-5 ft lbs) tightening just half turns until torqued.
8. Reconnect the coil packs to the spark plugs.
9. Replace the engine cover.
10. Reconnect the battery.
