There are two separate fuse boxes in your car:
- The interior fuse box is above the brake release pedal.
- The underhood fuse box is in the engine compartment behind the battery.
Changing a Fuse
1. Open the appropriate fuse box cover by pressing down on the tab on the cover.
2. Find the blown fuse by looking at the fuse diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover. The blown fuse will be the one that has a broken filament.
3. Use the fuse puller located on the inside of the fuse box cover to remove the blown fuse.
4. Insert a new fuse of the same amperage as the blown fuse into the fuse socket.
5. Close the fuse box cover.
WARNING:
Never use a fuse with a higher amperage rating than the one that was originally installed. This could cause damage to your vehicle’s electrical system.
If you are having difficulty changing a fuse, you can always consult a qualified mechanic.
