- Check the coolant level in the radiator. If the level is low, top it up and look for any leaks around the cylinder head, water pump, and hoses.
- If you find a leak, tighten the bolts or replace the faulty gasket/seal.
2. Condensation: Another possible cause of water in the gearbox oil is condensation. When the motorcycle is not in use, moisture in the air can condense inside the gearbox. This is more common in humid climates.
- To prevent condensation, it's important to store the motorcycle in a dry, well-ventilated area.
- You can also install a breather hose to allow moisture to escape from the gearbox.
3. Overfilling the gearbox: If you overfill the gearbox with oil, it can overflow into the airbox and mix with the air/fuel mixture. This can cause the engine to run poorly and produce white smoke from the exhaust.
- Check the gearbox oil level and make sure it is at the correct level.
4. Damaged gasket or seal: A damaged gasket or seal can also allow water to enter the gearbox. This can happen if the engine has been overheated or if the motorcycle has been dropped or crashed.
- If you suspect a damaged gasket or seal, inspect the engine carefully and replace any damaged components.
