Procedure:
1. Park the car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the hood and locate the air conditioning compressor. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the compressor.
5. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the compressor. Be careful not to spill any refrigerant.
6. Remove the mounting bolts that secure the compressor to the engine.
7. Carefully remove the compressor from the engine compartment.
8. Install the new compressor in the reverse order of removal.
*Note: Refrigerant is a hazardous substance and should only be handled by qualified personnel. If you are not comfortable working with refrigerant, you should take the car to a qualified mechanic for service.*
