1992 Yamaha blaster no spark is it a cdi box?

There are a few things that could be causing the no-spark issue on your 1992 Yamaha Blaster. Here are a few things to check:

1. Spark Plug: Make sure the spark plug is properly connected and in good condition. Check for cracks or damage to the ceramic insulator. If the spark plug is fouled or worn out, replace it with a new one.

2. Spark Plug Wire: Inspect the spark plug wire for any damage or corrosion. Ensure the wire is securely connected to the spark plug and the ignition coil.

3. Ignition Coil: The ignition coil is responsible for generating the high voltage needed to create a spark. Check for any cracks or damage to the coil. If the coil is defective, replace it with a new one.

4. CDI Box: The CDI (Capacitive Discharge Ignition) box is responsible for controlling the timing of the spark. If the CDI box is faulty, it can cause a no-spark condition. To test the CDI box, you can swap it with a known-good one from another Blaster or use an ohmmeter to check for continuity between the terminals.

5. Grounding: Make sure all the electrical components are properly grounded. Check the frame and engine for any loose or corroded ground wires. Clean and tighten any loose connections.

6. Kill Switch: Check the kill switch to ensure it is not activated. The kill switch can cut off the spark, preventing the engine from starting.

If you have checked all of these things and you still do not have a spark, it is recommended to take your Blaster to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
