1. Open the hood of your car.
2. Locate the fuel pump relay. It's usually located in the fuse box, which is usually found in the engine compartment near the battery. In this Mercedes model, it is located in a black box just behind the battery on the driver side of the trunk near the trunk release mechanism.
3. Remove the relay by gently pulling it out of its socket.
4. Replace the relay with a new one.
5. Close the hood of your car.
Here are some additional tips for changing the fuel pump relay on a Mercedes 430 CLK:
- Make sure you have the right relay. The relay should have the same part number as the old relay.
- Be careful not to drop the relay. If the relay is dropped, it may be damaged.
- If you have any questions, consult your Mercedes-Benz dealer or a qualified mechanic.
