- Spark plug socket (14 mm)
- Ratchet
- Spark plug gap tool (0.028-0.032 inches)
- Flashlight
- New spark plugs (Bosch F8DS or equivalent)
Instructions:
1. Open the hood of the car and locate the spark plugs. They are located on the top of the engine, near the back of the engine bay.
2. Remove the spark plug wires by pulling them straight up. Be careful not to damage the wires.
3. Use the spark plug socket to loosen the spark plugs. Be careful not to drop the spark plugs into the engine.
4. Check the gap of the new spark plugs. It should be 0.028-0.032 inches. If necessary, use the spark plug gap tool to adjust the gap.
5. Screw the new spark plugs into the engine by hand. Be careful not to cross-thread the spark plugs.
6. Tighten the spark plugs with the ratchet. Do not over-tighten the spark plugs.
7. Replace the spark plug wires by pushing them down onto the spark plugs. Be sure to connect the wires in the correct order.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
