* A dirty throttle body. The throttle body is responsible for controlling the amount of air that flows into the engine. When it is dirty, it can cause the engine to stall because it is not able to maintain a consistent idle speed.
* A vacuum leak. A vacuum leak can cause the engine to stall because it allows air to enter the engine that is not accounted for by the fuel injection system. This can cause the engine to run lean and stall.
* A fuel system problem. A fuel system problem, such as a clogged fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump, can cause the engine to stall because it is not able to get enough fuel.
* A faulty spark plug. A faulty spark plug can cause the engine to stall because it is not able to provide the necessary spark to ignite the fuel.
