Where does the rotor point to on a 351?

The distributor rotor on a 351 engine points to the number one spark plug tower on the distributor cap. This is because the number one spark plug wire is connected to that tower, and when the rotor rotates, it makes contact with the terminal inside that tower, allowing current to flow to the number one spark plug. The firing order for a 351 is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8, so the rotor will rotate in a clockwise direction and make contact with the terminals inside the distributor cap in that order.
