Here are the steps to replace the oil pump on a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am:

1. Gather the necessary tools and materials:

- New oil pump

- Oil pump O-ring

- Oil filter

- Oil

- Oil drain pan

- Funnel

- Wrench

- Socket set

- Screwdriver

- Rags

2. Prepare the vehicle:

- Park the Grand Am on a level surface.

- Engage the parking brake.

- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Drain the oil:

- Place the oil drain pan underneath the oil drain plug, on the bottom of the oil pan

- Loosen the oil drain plug using a wrench and allow all of the oil to drain into the pan

- Replace the drain plug once the oil is drained.

- Remove the bolts around the perimeter of the oil pan using a wrench or socket set.

- Carefully pry off the oil pan and avoid spilling any remaining oil.

6. Remove the oil pump:

- Locate the oil pump on the front of the engine, underneath the timing cover.

- Remove the bolts that hold the oil pump in place using a wrench or socket set.

- Remove the old oil pump and gasket from the engine block.

- Make sure to remove any debris from the oil pump gasket mating surfaces.

7. Install the new oil pump:

- Apply a thin coat of sealant to the new oil pump gasket.

- Position the new oil pump in place on the engine block and install the mounting bolts.

8. Reinstall the oil pan:
