1. Locate the engine's flywheel housing. It is located on the back of the engine, near the bottom.
2. Find the crankshaft position sensor. It is a small, cylindrical sensor with a wire connector attached to it. It is located on the flywheel housing, near the top.
3. Disconnect the wire connector from the crankshaft position sensor.
4. Remove the bolt that holds the crankshaft position sensor in place.
5. Pull the crankshaft position sensor out of the flywheel housing.
2006-Present Dodge Sprinter
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Locate the crankshaft position sensor. It is located on the front of the engine, near the oil filter.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor.
5. Remove the bolt that holds the crankshaft position sensor in place.
6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
