- The brake light assembly in a 2009 Honda Odyssey is located in the rear of the vehicle, on each side of the tailgate.
- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the brake light assembly in place.
- Once the screws have been removed, you can pull the brake light assembly straight out from the vehicle.
- Press the release tab on the electrical connector and pull it straight out from the brake light assembly.
- Twist the old brake light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the assembly.
- Align the new brake light bulb with the socket in the assembly and twist it clockwise until it is secure.
- Press the release tab on the electrical connector and plug it back into the brake light assembly.
- Align the brake light assembly with the holes in the vehicle and push it in until the screws can be reinserted.
- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to replace the two screws that hold the brake light assembly in place.
- Turn on the vehicle’s headlights and press the brake pedal to make sure that the new brake light bulb is working properly.
