To change a brake light bulb in a 2009 Honda Odyssey, follow these steps:

Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.

Locate the brake light assembly.

- The brake light assembly in a 2009 Honda Odyssey is located in the rear of the vehicle, on each side of the tailgate.

Remove the two screws holding the brake light assembly in place.

- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the brake light assembly in place.

Remove the brake light assembly from the vehicle.

- Once the screws have been removed, you can pull the brake light assembly straight out from the vehicle.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake light assembly.

- Press the release tab on the electrical connector and pull it straight out from the brake light assembly.

Remove the old brake light bulb from the assembly.

- Twist the old brake light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the assembly.

Install the new brake light bulb into the assembly.

- Align the new brake light bulb with the socket in the assembly and twist it clockwise until it is secure.

Reconnect the electrical connector to the brake light assembly.

- Press the release tab on the electrical connector and plug it back into the brake light assembly.

Reinstall the brake light assembly into the vehicle.

- Align the brake light assembly with the holes in the vehicle and push it in until the screws can be reinserted.

Replace the two screws that you removed in step two.

- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to replace the two screws that hold the brake light assembly in place.

Test the new brake light bulb.

- Turn on the vehicle’s headlights and press the brake pedal to make sure that the new brake light bulb is working properly.
