1. Ensure that the key of your vehicle is in the "Off position, and the parking brake is engaged.

3. Ensure the jumper cables you'll be using are rated sufficiently to handle the amperage of your vehicle's battery.

4. Connect one end of the red jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery and the other end to the positive (+) terminal of the working battery.
