Where is the fuel pump situated in a Mercedes 230E?

In a Mercedes 230E, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access the fuel pump, you will need to remove the rear seat and then remove the access cover to the fuel tank. The fuel pump is located on the bottom of the fuel tank and is held in place by a locking ring.
