- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- 10mm socket wrench
- 10mm ratchet
- Door panel removal tool (optional)
- New door panel
Step 1: Remove the Door Panel Screws:
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws located at the bottom of the door panel.
- Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the two screws located in the door handle.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the plastic cover located behind the door handle.
- Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the screw located behind the plastic cover.
Step 2: Remove the Door Panel:
- Use a door panel removal tool (or a flat head screwdriver) to pry the door panel away from the door frame.
- Start at the bottom of the door panel and work your way up.
- Be careful not to damage the door panel or the door frame.
Step 3: Disconnect the Door Panel Wires:
- Once the door panel is removed, you will need to disconnect the door panel wires.
- There will be two wires connected to the door panel: the power window switch wire and the power lock switch wire.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the plastic connectors and disconnect the wires.
Step 4: Install the New Door Panel:
- Place the new door panel in position over the door frame.
- Line up the door panel screws with the holes in the door frame.
- Insert the screws and tighten them with a 10mm socket wrench.
- Reconnect the door panel wires.
- Snap the plastic cover back into place over the screw behind the door handle.
Step 5: Test the Door Panel:
- Open and close the door to make sure the door panel is installed correctly.
- Test the power window switch and the power lock switch to make sure they are working properly.
