- Idle Air Control (IAC) valve sticking or clogged
- Vacuum leaks
- Faulty throttle position sensor
- Dirty throttle body
- Faulty ECM (rare)
Repair Tips:
- It is recommended at least to try cleaning your throttle body before replacing any other parts.
- If you're unfamiliar with taking the throttle body apart I would recommend taking your vehicle to a repair shop.
- If you're trying to clean the IAC valve it's typically located underneath the throttle body.
- When the IAC valve is removed it's a good idea to spray carburetor cleaner into the passages with the valve removed.
