How do you replace the speed sensor on a 2001 Hyundai tiburon that is manual?

Tools and Materials Needed

* Replacement speed sensor

* 10mm socket

* Ratchet

* Extension

* Flat-head screwdriver

* Pliers

Instructions:

1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. Jack up the front of your car and secure it with jack stands.

4. Locate the speed sensor. On the 2001 Hyundai Tiburon, the speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission, near the driver's side wheel.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speed sensor.

6. Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to loosen the bolts holding the speed sensor in place.

7. Remove the bolts and take out the old speed sensor.

8. Install the new speed sensor by inserting it into the hole and securing it with the bolts.

9. Reattach the electrical connector to the speed sensor.

10. Lower the car and remove the jack stands.

11. Test the speed sensor by driving the car and verifying that the speedometer is working properly.
