2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Locate the fuel filter. It is usually located on the underside of the vehicle, near the fuel tank.
4. Place a drain pan under the fuel filter.
5. Loosen the fuel line connections. There may be two or three lines, depending on the year and model of the vehicle.
6. Remove the fuel filter from the vehicle.
7. Install the new fuel filter, being careful to reconnect the fuel lines in the correct order.
8. Tighten the fuel line connections.
9. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
10. Start the engine and check for leaks.
