1. Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine.
2. Press and hold the trip reset button on the instrument cluster.
3. While holding the reset button, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
4. Continue to hold the reset button until the brake pad sensor light turns off.
5. Release the reset button and turn off the ignition.
6. Start the engine and verify that the brake pad sensor light is off.
If the brake pad sensor light does not turn off, it may need to be replaced.
