1. Remove the Front Fairing:
a. Loosen the bolts holding the front fairing to the motorcycle frame.
b. Disconnect the electrical connectors and wiring attached to the fairing.
c. Carefully lift and remove the front fairing.
2. Remove the Side Fairings:
a. Loosen the bolts holding the side fairings to the motorcycle frame.
b. Disconnect the electrical connectors and wiring attached to the fairings.
c. Carefully lift and remove the side fairings.
3. Remove the Rear Fairing:
a. Loosen the bolts holding the rear fairing to the motorcycle frame.
b. Disconnect the electrical connectors and wiring attached to the fairing.
c. Carefully lift and remove the rear fairing.
4. Remove the Windshield:
a. Loosen the bolts holding the windshield to the motorcycle frame.
b. Remove the windshield.
5. Install the New Fairing:
a. Place the new fairing onto the motorcycle frame.
b. Secure the fairing with the bolts that were removed earlier.
c. Connect the electrical connectors and wiring to the new fairing.
6. Install the Windshield:
a. Place the windshield onto the motorcycle frame.
b. Secure the windshield with the bolts that were removed earlier.
7. Reattach any Other Components:
Reattach any other components that were removed during the fairing removal process, such as turn signals, mirrors, and lights.
8. Test the Electrical Connections:
- Ensure all electrical connections are properly connected and functioning correctly, including headlights, turn signals, and brake lights.
Your Honda GL1200's fairing should now be successfully replaced.
