1. Park your ATV on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the reverse cable adjuster on the right side of the engine, near the top of the oil tank.
3. Use a 12mm wrench to loosen the locknut on the reverse cable adjuster.
4. Turn the adjuster screw clockwise to increase the reverse cable tension or counterclockwise to decrease it.
5. Adjust the cable tension so that there is about 1/4 inch (6mm) of play between the cable housing and the adjuster screw.
6. Retighten the locknut on the reverse cable adjuster.
7. Test the reverse cable adjustment by starting the engine and shifting into reverse. The ATV should move backward smoothly without jerking or hesitation.
