Tools Needed:
-Socket set
-Ratchet
-Flat-head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Unbolt the Seat Brackets:
- The rear seat is held in place by two brackets on either side. Locate these brackets at the front of the seat, where the seat meets the floor of the car.
- Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the two bolts holding each bracket in place. Keep these bolts safe, as you'll need them to reinstall the seat later.
2. Lift and Remove the Seat:
- Once the brackets are removed, lift the front edge of the seat and pull it towards you to disengage it from the clips that hold it in place at the back of the seat.
- Continue lifting and pulling until the entire seat is removed from the car. Be careful not to drop it.
3. Disconnect the Seat Belt Buckles:
- If the seat belts are still attached to the seat, locate where the buckles are connected to the rear of the seat.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the latches that hold the buckles in place and detach them from the seat.
- Carefully pull the seat belts out from under the seat.
4. Rear Seat Removal:
- The rear seat is now completely removed from the vehicle.
Reinstallation:
To reinstall the rear seat, simply follow the steps in reverse order:
1. Re-attach the seat belts to their buckles under the seat.
2. Place the seat back in the car, aligning it with the brackets at the front.
3. Insert and tighten the bolts to secure the seat brackets.
4. Double-check that the seat is secure and stable.
