1. Disconnect the battery. If the power is left connected there is the risk of pinching fingers from the window as it moves suddenly.
2. Remove the door panel. Follow the video that provides a detailed breakdown of the steps that need to be followed to remove the door panel.
3. Unbolt the window regulator. This will help remove the old regulator and put the new one in place.
4. Remove the window from the door. Remove all the bolts holding the glass to the door to avoid any issues when pulling it out.
5. Remove the old window regulator. Unbolt the window regulator and remove it from the door.
6. Install the new window regulator. Install the new regulator and secure it with the bolts.
7. Reinstall the window. Slide the window back into place and secure it with the bolts that were previously removed.
8. Reattach the door panel. Replace the door panel that was removed in step two and connect any of the components it was covering back to the door.
9. Reconnect the battery. The car is once again ready for the power to flow through.
10. Test the window regulator. Try raising and lowering the window and inspect the functioning of the motor to make sure that the issue was resolved.
