1. Turn on the ignition but do not start the car.
2. Press and hold the "Trip" button on the left stalk of the steering wheel.
3. While holding the "Trip" button, turn the ignition key to the "II" position.
4. Continue holding the "Trip" button until the service light turns off (usually takes about 10 seconds).
5. Release the "Trip" button.
6. Turn the ignition key back to the "0" position.
7. Start the car.
The service light should now be reset. If the light does not turn off, you may need to take your car to a Volvo dealer to have it reset.
