1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Remove the upper alternator bracket.
5. Remove the lower alternator bracket.
6. Remove the electrical connector from the back of the alternator.
7. Remove the two nuts that hold the alternator in place.
8. Remove the alternator from the vehicle.
To reinstall the alternator, reverse the steps above. Be sure to properly torque all nuts and bolts to the specified torque values.
