Turn off the vacuum and unplug it from the power outlet.
Remove the power head by depressing the release buttons and lifting the power head up and off the vacuum cleaner.
Locate the belt cover on the bottom of the power head. It is usually held in place by a few screws.
Remove the screws and lift off the belt cover.
Remove the old belt by slipping it off the drive pulley and the brush roll.
Install the new belt by slipping it onto the drive pulley first and then the brush roll.
Ensure that the belt is seated correctly on both pulleys.
Replace the belt cover and secure it with the screws.
Replace the power head on the vacuum cleaner.
Plug in the vacuum cleaner and turn it on.
Test the vacuum cleaner to ensure the belt is working properly.
