To remove a rear door panel on a 2006 Ford Fusion, follow these steps:

1. Remove the door handle cover:

- Use a pry tool to gently pry open the door handle cover from the bottom edge.

- Once the bottom edge is disengaged, pull the cover outward to release it from the clips holding it in place.

2. Remove the window crank handle:

- If your Fusion has manual windows, you will need to remove the window crank handle.

- Pull the handle straight out to remove it.

3. Remove the armrest cover:

- Gently pry up the front edge of the armrest cover using a pry tool.

- Once the front edge is disengaged, pull the cover towards the rear of the vehicle to release it from the clips.

4. Remove the door panel mounting screws:

- Remove the two Phillips-head screws located at the front and rear of the armrest opening.

- Remove the two Phillips-head screws located at the bottom edge of the door panel, beneath the armrest opening.

5. Remove the window switch bezel:

- Pry around the edges of the window switch bezel with a pry tool to release it from the clips.

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the window switch.

- Remove the window switch bezel from the door panel.

6. Disconnect the door lock knob:

- Reach inside the door panel and disconnect the door lock knob from the door latch mechanism.

7. Remove the door panel:

- Starting from the bottom edge, carefully pry around the perimeter of the door panel with a pry tool to release the retaining clips.

- Lift the door panel upward to remove it from the door.

- Disconnect any remaining electrical connectors by pressing the release tabs and pulling the connectors apart.
