1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.

4. Find the fuse labeled "Check Engine Light" or "MIL" (Malfunction Indicator Lamp).

6. Wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the fuse.
7. Close the hood of your car.
8. Start the engine. The check engine light should be reset.
