- New distributor seal
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Clean rag
Procedure:
1. Open the hood of your Honda Civic and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the distributor cap and coil wire.
3. Using the flat-head screwdriver, carefully pry the old distributor seal out of the distributor housing.
4. Make sure to remove any sealant residue before installing a new seal.
5. Apply a thin coat of sealant around the outer edge of the new distributor seal.
6. Press the new distributor seal into the housing. Make sure it is seated firmly.
7. Reattach the coil wire and distributor cap.
8. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Start your Honda Civic and check for any leaks. If there are no leaks, you have successfully installed the new distributor seal.
