1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button until the display screen shows "000000".
3. Release the odometer reset button and press and hold the "Trip A/B" button until the display screen shows "Maint Req'd".
4. Release the "Trip A/B" button and press the "Mode" button until the display screen shows "- - - -".
5. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position. The timing belt light should now be reset.
If the timing belt light does not reset, there may be a problem with the timing belt or its sensor. In this case, it is best to have your vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic.
