1. Gather the necessary tools and parts:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Replacement door lock actuator (OEM part number: 69210-0C010)
2. Remove the door panel:
- Begin by prying off the plastic cover over the door handle using the flat head screwdriver.
- Remove the two phillips-head screws behind the cover.
- Gently pry off the door panel, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- Disconnect the power window and lock switch connectors.
- Set aside the door panel.
3. Remove the old door lock actuator:
- Use the phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the door lock actuator to the door frame.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.
- Remove the old actuator from the door.
4. Install the new door lock actuator:
- Position the new actuator in the door frame and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
- Reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Test the door lock:
- Close the door and try locking and unlocking it from both the inside and outside.
- Ensure the door lock is functioning properly.
6. Re-attach the door panel:
- Connect the power window and lock switch connectors to the door panel.
- Align the door panel with the door frame and gently press it back into place.
- Secure the door panel with the screws you removed earlier. Replace the plastic cover over the door handle.
- Repeat the procedure for the other door if necessary.
