How do you replace rear parking light lens on 1998 Dodge Dakota?

1. Park your Dakota in a safe, well-lit area. Engage the parking brake and open the tailgate.

2. Locate the two screws that hold the rear parking light lens in place. The screws are located on the bottom of the light assembly.

3. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, loosen the two screws. Do not remove the screws completely.

4. Carefully pry the rear parking light lens away from the light assembly. Be careful not to break the lens.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear parking light bulb.

6. Replace the parking light bulb with a new bulb of the same size and type. Be sure to push the bulb all the way into the socket until it locks in place.

7. Reconnect the electrical connector to the rear parking light bulb.

8. Snap the rear parking light lens back into place.

9. Tighten the two screws that hold the lens in place. Do not overtighten the screws.

10. Repeat steps 2-9 on the other side of the Dakota.
