1. Purchase a clutch assist spring that is compatible with your vehicle.
2. Locate the clutch release lever on the transmission bell housing.
3. Remove the nut and washer that secure the clutch release lever to the transmission bell housing.
4. Slide the clutch assist spring over the clutch release lever.
5. Reinstall the washer and nut that secure the clutch release lever to the transmission bell housing.
6. Adjust the clutch assist spring tension by turning the adjusting screw on the spring.
7. Test the clutch assist spring by pulling on the clutch release lever. The spring should provide resistance, but not be too stiff.
