You will need:
- Vehicle’s registration or title
- VIN
- Proof of ownership
- A photo ID
- Spare key (if available)
- A towing service (contact number)
- Replacement key
Go to a dealership.
Present the required documentation to the dealership and make a request for a replacement key.
Wait for the new key.
The dealership will cut a new key and program it to work with the car’s ignition and door locks. This may take a few days.
Test the new key.
Once you receive the new key, try it out in the ignition and all of the door locks to make sure it works.
*Note:* If you have lost all of your keys, you may need to have the car towed to the dealership.
