How do you replace the slave cylinder on a 1999 S-10?

1. Park your truck in a level area and apply the parking brake.

2. Disconnect the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder.

3. Remove the slave cylinder mount from the transmission bell housing.

4. Using a slide hammer or an appropriate puller, remove the slave cylinder from the transmission bell housing.

5. Remove the rubber boot from the end of the slave cylinder.

6. Clean the slave cylinder body and the bore of the transmission bell housing.

7. Install a new rubber boot on the end of the slave cylinder.

8. Using a new O-ring, install the slave cylinder into the transmission bell housing.

9. Secure the slave cylinder mount to the transmission bell housing.

10. Reconnect the hydraulic line to the slave cylinder.

11. Bleed the hydraulic system to remove any air.
