Tools and Materials Needed:
- Replacement wiper motor
- Socket wrench set
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Trim removal tool (optional)
- New weatherstripping (if necessary)
Procedure:
1. Park the Caravan: Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake and ensure that the vehicle is stable before beginning work.
2. Locate the Wiper Motor: The wiper motor is usually located underneath the plastic cowl at the base of the windshield. To access the cowl, you may need to remove a few plastic clips or screws.

5. Remove the Wiper Motor: Once the wiper arms are removed, you can now remove the wiper motor. This usually involves removing a few bolts that hold the motor in place. Be sure to support the motor as you remove it to prevent it from falling.
6. Install the New Motor: Take the new wiper motor and align it with the mounting holes. Replace the bolts you removed earlier to secure the new motor in place.
7. Reconnect the Electrical Connectors: Reconnect the electrical connectors that you disconnected earlier. Make sure the connectors are securely fastened to ensure proper electrical contact.
8. Reinstall the Wiper Arms: Replace the wiper arms by sliding them back onto the splined shafts on the motor. Make sure the arms are securely attached and that the plastic caps are properly seated.
9. Test the Wiper Motor: Turn on the windshield wipers to test the new motor. Make sure the wipers move smoothly and function correctly.
10. Replace the Cowl: Reinstall the cowl by snapping it back into place or securing it with the screws or clips you removed earlier.
11. Replace Weatherstripping (Optional): If you notice that the weatherstripping around the cowl is damaged or worn out, it's a good idea to replace it at this time.
