Follow these steps:
1. Locate the fuel filter. It is located on the passenger side of the vehicle, under the rear seat.
2. Remove the fuel line from the filter. Use a wrench, loosening the connections and remove the line.
3. Remove the filter from the bracket. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts holding the filter in place.
4. Install the new filter. Please reverse the removal process, tightening all connections securely.
5. Start the vehicle and check for leaks. Ensure that there are no leaks before driving the vehicle.
Additional tips:
- Replace the fuel filter every 30,000 miles or as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use a new filter gasket or O-ring when installing a new fuel filter.
- If you spill any gasoline during the fuel filter replacement, be sure to clean it up immediately. Gasoline is highly flammable and can be dangerous.
- If you are uncomfortable replacing the fuel filter, consult a qualified mechanic.
