2. Remove the trim panel. The trim panel around the stereo can be removed by gently prying it up with a flat-head screwdriver or a putty knife. Be careful not to damage the panel or the surrounding area.
3. Remove the four mounting bolts. There are four mounting bolts that hold the stereo in place. They're located on the side and bottom edges of the stereo. To remove them, simply use a wrench or screwdriver to turn them counterclockwise.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness. Once you've removed the mounting bolts, you can disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the stereo. Be sure to take note of the color-coding on the wires so you can reconnect them correctly when you install the new stereo.
5. Remove the stereo. Once you've disconnected the wiring harness, you can slide the stereo out of the dash. Be careful not to drop it or damage it.
