- New fuel filter
- Fuel line wrench or pliers
- Rags
- Safety glasses
- Gasoline-resistant gloves
Procedure:
1. Park your vehicle in a safe location, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool down.
2. Locate the fuel filter. The fuel filter on a 2001 Ford Ranger 3.0L is located underneath the vehicle, near the fuel tank.
3. Place a rag underneath the fuel filter to catch any spilled fuel.
4. Use a fuel line wrench or pliers to loosen the fuel line clamps on both ends of the fuel filter.
5. Remove the old fuel filter by pulling it out of the fuel lines.
6. Inspect the old fuel filter for any damage or debris.
7. Install the new fuel filter by inserting it into the fuel lines.
8. Tighten the fuel line clamps using a fuel line wrench or pliers.
9. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
