Unscrew the fuel temperature sensor from the fuel rail using a wrench.
Apply a small amount of sealant to the threads of the new fuel temperature sensor.
Screw the new fuel temperature sensor into the fuel rail.
Reconnect the electrical connector to the fuel temperature sensor.
Close the hood of the vehicle and start the engine.
Check the fuel temperature gauge to ensure the new fuel temperature sensor is functioning properly.
Note: Before starting this procedure ensure the vehicle's fuel system is depressurized. You can do this by removing the fuel tank cap and waiting a few minutes. Additionally, take caution not to spill any fuel during the replacement process.
