The 4.3L V6 engine that came in the 1992 GMC Sonoma is much larger and more powerful than the 2.8L inline-six engine that came in the 1983 S-10 Blazer.

As a result, the 2.8L engine's transmission mount will not fit onto the 4.3L engine. Additionally, because these engines use different types of fuel injection systems, the fuel pump from the 2.8L engine will not work with the 4.3L engine.

Therefore, this engine and transmission swap is not recommended.
