The IAC valve controls the amount of air that bypasses the throttle plate when the engine is idling. If the IAC valve is faulty, it can cause the engine to stall when it is idling or when it is coming to a stop.
2. Dirty Throttle Body
A dirty throttle body can restrict the airflow into the engine, which can cause the engine to stall.
3. Faulty Fuel Injector
A faulty fuel injector can cause the engine to stall because it will not be able to deliver the correct amount of fuel to the engine.
4. Faulty Ignition Coil
A faulty ignition coil can cause the engine to stall because it will not be able to produce a spark to ignite the fuel mixture.
5. Faulty Oxygen Sensor
A faulty oxygen sensor can cause the engine to stall because it will not be able to provide the correct feedback to the engine computer about the air/fuel mixture.
6. Vacuum Leak
A vacuum leak can cause the engine to stall because it will allow unmetered air to enter the engine.
