Locate the transmission. It is typically situated at the rear of the engine.
Find the speedometer cable connection on the transmission. It is usually a small port or fitting on the side of the transmission, often near the top or bottom.
Connect the speedometer cable to the transmission. Screw in the cable or secure it with a clip or bracket, depending on the design. Ensure the connection is tight and secure.
Verify that the other end of the speedometer cable is connected to the back of the speedometer in the instrument cluster.
Test the speedometer by driving the vehicle. The speedometer should accurately display the speed of the vehicle.
