1. Park the ATV on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the oil level check bolt. It is usually located on the left side of the engine case, near the bottom.
3. Clean the area around the oil level check bolt with a rag.
4. Remove the oil level check bolt.
5. Inspect the oil level. The oil should be at the bottom of the threads of the oil level check bolt.
6. If the oil level is low, add the recommended type of oil through the oil fill plug. The oil fill plug is usually located on the top of the engine case.
7. Reinstall the oil level check bolt and the oil fill plug.
It is important to check the transmission oil level regularly, as low oil can damage the transmission.
