1. Park both vehicles in a safe location. Make sure the vehicles are not touching each other and that the parking brake is engaged on both vehicles.
2. Turn off the engines of both vehicles.
3. Connect the positive terminal of the jumper cables to the positive terminal of the dead battery.
4. Connect the negative terminal of the jumper cables to an unpainted metal surface on the frame of the dead vehicle.
5. Start the engine of the working vehicle and let it run for a few minutes.
6. Try to start the dead vehicle. If the dead vehicle does not start, let the working vehicle continue to run for a few more minutes and then try again.
7. Once the dead vehicle starts, remove the jumper cables in the reverse order that you connected them.
8. Allow both vehicles to run for a few minutes before driving. This will help to recharge the dead battery.
Here are some additional tips for jump starting a motorcycle:
* Make sure the jumper cables are properly rated for the amperage of the motorcycle battery.
* Be careful not to touch the positive and negative terminals of the battery at the same time, as this can cause a spark and damage the electrical system of the motorcycle.
* If the motorcycle does not start after several attempts, there may be another issue with the motorcycle, such as a bad battery or starter.
